Rob gave clear advice about the management of the restoration, what would be required e.g. to preserve the artwork on the inlaid pieces. He took great care to establish our wishes in detail. We are absolutely delighted with the work. The furniture has never looked so good - amazing finish on tables restored to their former glory. Rob was extremely thorough and professional throughout, allowing discussion and giving appropriate advice. The work on the piano was carried out in situ and everything cleaned up afterwards. It was on its last legs, but Archers took an extraordinary level of care, attention and dedication in giving it a new lease of life, whilst lovingly keeping its character and evidence of the adventures its had over many decades. The standard and skill of craftsmanship and finish was well beyond expectation. I wouldn't hesitate to trust Archers with restoration of pieces that have great value, both sentimentally and financially. They went the extra mile in listening to the desired outcomes for the piece and providing photographs of the process for us to keep. June 17, 2018"We had several pieces from an 18th century teapoy and 19th century case clock to 17th century chests and boxes. They were returned to us in the most beautiful condition. I simply could not believe what a fantastic Job tht hd been done. 1 year on the beeswax polish used is still shining. The sympathetic restoration using like for like materials (basically very old oak) on the 17th century items was nothing short of miraculous. This is a very, very good service indeed. Only one thing to remember. Ask for a receipt. I let them take thousands of pounds of furniture away. Because of the care of the work it took time to complete, and I had a couple of horrible moments thinking I had let a scammer drive off with my heirlooms. However, this was not the case. This is an honest, careful service. I thoroughly recommend them."
